Questions About Northbrook
Where is Northbrook and how do you get downtown?
Northbrook is about 21 miles north of the Loop, directly north of Glenview along the Edens Expressway. The Northbrook Metra station on Shermer Road, on the Milwaukee District North line, reaches Union Station in roughly 40 to 45 minutes, and the Edens puts most of the village 35 to 45 minutes from downtown by car outside rush hour.
What kinds of homes are in Northbrook?
Northbrook is mostly single-family homes on generous lots: ranches and colonials from the 1950s through the 1970s, larger newer homes where older ones have been replaced, and pockets of townhomes and condos near the village center and the Metra station. The forest preserves and Techny Prairie sit inside the village, so many streets back onto open land.
Which schools serve Northbrook?
Northbrook's elementary and middle schools are split among Districts 27, 28, 30 and 31, and Northbrook addresses feed Glenbrook North High School in Glenbrook District 225. Which elementary district a home falls in depends on the address, so check it early when comparing homes across the village.
What is the ZIP code for Northbrook?
Northbrook, Illinois is ZIP code 60062.

Client Reviews
“Everyone in my family works in real estate (a realtor, a broker, and a builder) so it hurts a little to admit that Jess is the best out there. Jess should be making millions of dollars at a hedge fund, VC firm, or some other job reserved for people that are way too smart and work way too hard. Instead she decided to be a ridiculously good realtor. I met her randomly at an open home and it was so obvious that she was the best realtor I would come across that I started working with her immediately. Since then I've bought and sold a million dollar plus home with her and there is absolutely no room for improvement in her work. She does tons of research, has a very realistic and logical approach, and is perfectly organized and professional. I've never worried that she is splitting her focus or letting things fall through the cracks, and I've always known she'll keep me in check if I get frustrated with a buyer or seller, or think my home is worth more than it is. If you've never bought or sold a home before, she'll walk you through every step and make sure you understand exactly what's going on. And if you've bought and sold dozens of homes, she'll keep everything organized and on track, make sure all goes smoothly, and when the inevitable hick-up occurs she will calmly facilitate solutions. I can't recommend her highly enough.”
Jordan M.Seller in Bucktown, Chicago“Jessica was everything you could hope for in an agent and more! We live on the other side of the country and were going through a bunch of very difficult life transitions. Jessica made the process of selling a house totally stress-free from start to finish. She helped communicate with the tenants we had living in our condo throughout the process and was able to negotiate a deal that was significantly better than the identical (and maybe even more polished) condo right next door. She even made it so that the gap between closing and our tenants leaving was non-existent which meant no lost income! She also went above and beyond by personally (with help from her husband) removing furniture and other stuff the previous tenants had left behind. She is amazing.”
AlexBuyer“I wanted to sell my condo in Chicago and I live on the west coast. I’ve tried to sell it before and had to delist due to lack of interest. Jessica went over and above what most agents do. She got my place fixed up and ready to show, meticulously determining what needed to be done, getting multiple quotes and managing the entire process. I could not have done this being remote. Then, she hosted many open houses and generated quite a lot of traffic. She landed an offer in less than 2 months with a close a month later. She also completely managed the close. I’ve worked with multiple agents before and Jessica is by far the best. I highly recommend Jessica to everyone in Chicago. I don’t think you can find a better agent.”
