Where is Lake View and how do you get downtown?
Lake View runs from Diversey north to Irving Park Road and from the lake west to Ashland, about four miles north of the Loop. The Brown Line stops at Diversey, Wellington, Belmont, Southport, Paulina and Addison, the Red Line at Belmont, Addison and Sheridan, and the Purple Line Express adds rush-hour service, so most of the neighborhood is 20 to 25 minutes from downtown.
